Exercise Ball Exercises and Workouts Work

Exercising your abs using exercise balls has become very common, no longer is an exercise ball used for exercise whilst being pregnant, but you see exercise balls being used in most gym’s throughout the country.  Although more and more commonly they are being used to exercise your abdominals whilst at home, workingout using an exercise ball not only can improve your abs but used correctly you can workout 80% of your body. 

Whilst my wife was pregnant with our first child our midwife recommended using a fitness ball and try to sit on it  as much as possible throughout the day to help strengthen her abdominal core. She found it to be a great help during the pregnancy and since having our baby we both use regularly for exercise and believe it or not as a chair. So not only can exercise balls be used for working out they can easily be used as an exercise ball chair.  Now I’m quite tall and after a long stint in the office I use the exercise ball as a chair when i get home, which in my mind acts a double benefit.  Firstly I find it positions my body/frame in such a way that to keep my balance correctly I sit vey upright and I’m certain it helps me maintain a good posture and secondly whilst I’m using body weight to sit on the ball I’m using my core muscles to also stablise myself and workingout my core abdominal muscles at the same time.

I suggest you try it, you may have seen those bright coloured balls at the gym or around the hospital on your trips with your pregnant wife,  go try one. Simply using an exercise ball for working out and overall exercise and as an exercise ball chair can improve your overall posture and abdominals in no time.  There are many many videos on youtube etc which show the many uses of exercise balls and varied and fun workouts that can be had.

When I think how much time I spend in front of my computer and the way my body is leant over my desk  it’s import to counter that to correct my ailing posture.  In this day and age most people spend 8 hours at work on the computer then get home and spend another 4-5 hours most nights surfing the net or playing games etc.  Especially when thinking of the amount of time your children will spend on a computer per day/week, their balance, posture, attention will all Deteriorate.  I seriously recommend using an exercise ball as a chair, which will for sure improve your posture and over time you will see a significant change in your abs and overall abdominal area.

There are many exercise ball workouts and exercise ball exercises available which will give you great examples of how to use your exercise ball for free.  I used to laugh to myself when I went to the gym when I saw these big guys using the exercise balls, but now I know when they do.  Exercise Ball Exercises and Workouts simply work, give them a try.
